Get ready for an unforgettable experience this Christmas season at Colin Glen Forest Park’s very first Festive Forest event! Taking place in December 2024, this event promises to be one of the most thrilling Christmas adventure in Belfast.
What to Expect
Colin Glen will be adorned with Christmas trees, festive decorations, s’mores stations, and hidden surprises. Santa’s grotto, along with Santa himself, will be present for visits—be sure to arrive early to avoid missing him! This enchanting experience is located at our mountain entrance and promises fun for all ages.
From 11:30 AM to 4PM – Our little Festive Forest afternoon pass offers a delightful experience for families and young children.
During these sessions, you can enjoy the Jingle Bell Train, take two rides on The Polar Coaster, savour a hot chocolate and s’mores, enjoy a meet and greet with Santa, and participate in arts and crafts activities—all for £25 per person. (Early bird rate, normal rate £28.50 from 1st November 2024)
From 4PM to 7:30 PM – our Festive Forest early evening pass is designed for ages 9 and up, making it perfect for teens, adults, date nights, groups of friends, sporting groups, youth clubs and families with older children. Attendees can enjoy the Jingle Bell Train, take two rides on The Polar Coaster, experience one ride on the Reindeer Run Zipline, and indulge in a hot chocolate and s’mores—all for £25 per person.(Early bird rate, normal rate £28.50 from 1st November 2024)

The Jingle Bell Train
Experience a festive train ride on The Jingle Bell Train, winding around our mountain entrance while enjoying the holiday decorations and cheerful Christmas music.
The Polar Coaster
Glide through the forest on Ireland’s only alpine coaster. Each rider gets their own single toboggan to navigate the natural landscape as you zoom past the trees. Children under 8 must ride with a parent or guardian.
The Reindeer Run Zipline
Add some magic by sprinkling reindeer dust before taking off on our 250-meter zipline that soars across the forest, offering stunning aerial views of the scenery below and breath-taking sights of Belfast in the distance.

Event Details
Duration: Allow 90minutes for this event.
Age Recommendation: From 11:30am-3:30pm passes are suitable for younger children as Santa will be there to visit and Arts & Crafts. 3:30pm-7:30pm passes are perfect for ages 9+, but also great for adults, date nights, groups of friends, and families with older children. Younger children are granted access but to use the zipline they must be at least 1.3 metres in height and be a minimum weight of 30kg.

• Located at our Mountain Entrance
• All Children accompanied by an adult. Under 2s go free and do not receive a gift from Santa. Photos with Santa are taken on the supervising adults smart phone.
